Founded by brothers Carlo and Dino Jacinto in 1997, HP Racing began as a home garage/workshop to reach their racing aspirations. Back in the day, turbocharging was frowned upon, as engine swaps were a cheaper, more reliable and convenient option for tuners and racers. But the brothers persevered with developing forced induction systems, believing in their unlimited power potential. HP Racing has deep roots in motorsports. HP Racing was part of the Birel Kart Racing Team, 2005 PIKA Champion in two categories. Dino Jacinto was 2005 Champion in the Rotax 125 class and bagging Karter and Rookie of the year. In 2006, HP Racing’s ’94 Civic SOHC turbo set an unofficial ¼ mile time of 11.777secs. at a PDRF held at Manila Harbour Centre. This is the Philippines’ fastest ¼ mile time thus far for a standard chassis Honda Civic SOHC. The same car set the 2006 highest horsepower record for a SOHC with a 365.5 wheel-horsepower result at DTM’s Dynapack. In 2010, HP Racing/Lopez Family's 1800cc Turbo SiR set the unofficial record 1/4 mile time for Philippine's fastest all-steel frame 4dr FWD car. The run was clocked at 11.54 seconds at the Clark International Speedway, which beat the previous 11.7 sec record. Among the clients of HP Racing are participants of various motorsports events such as Run-What-You-Brung circuit trials, BRC time trials, AAP and PDRF drag races and Lateral D drifting competitions. HP Racing has produced over 200 plus turbo kits alone for popular makes and models as well as some unknown ones. With specialty in 4-cylinder Japanese cars, HP Racing has also handled several 6-cylinder examples like 1JZs and RB26/25/20 to American Hemi V-8s. If you want to go turbo, leave us a message.
